This week, we studied the importance of digital media in webpages. Whether you are choosing images, video, or audio, it is important to make sure your content is not copyrighted. There are many free resources for finding non copyrighted material, and some material is usable under “Fair use guidelines”. No matter the context, copyright free content will be available, since you can just create it yourself. Once you create something, that content is copyrighted to you, the rightful creator and owner.
With all of that said, there is no excuse to have copyrighted material on your webpages.You want to avoid legal trouble at all costs, it is both expensive and completely avoidable.
